The Kincrome Gear Spanner has all the benefits of standard spanners and more. The strong fine gear ratcheting ring end needs as little as 5° of sweep to move fastener, a standard fixed ring end needs a minimum of 30°, or 6 times the area. The narrow and thin head, combined with fine gear tooth design makes the Kincrome Gear Spanner suitable for working in tight and hard to access areas where a ratchet and socket will not fit.
• The Kincrome Reverse Gear spanner has a 13° offset angle on the head, providing greater clearance in the working area for the user's fingers
• The reverse switch eliminates the need to turn over the spanner when changing direction, allowing the user to complete a job faster.

SHIFTER

English engineer Richard Clyburn is credited with inventing an adjustable spanner in 1842. Then 1891 the shifter was improved.
In parts of Europe, the adjustable wrench , OR shifter spanner OR shifter wrench is also known as a
" Bahco". In other markets, the adjustable wrench (shifter) is known as a ‘Swedish Key'. Both terms are a tip of the hat to Swedish inventor Johan Petter Johansson of Enköpings Mekaniska Verkstad, who, in 1891 was awarded a patent for an improved design of the adjustable wrench ( shifter) that is still in use today. That would be rebranded as Bahco in 1954.
Bahco have been producing adjustable wrenches (shifters) for over 120 years; the shifter range has grown extensively over the years, which qualifies Bahco as specialists in this product.
Bahco shifters are still reknowned as one of the best, however the winding thread direction is opposite to most other brands, we believe this was to get around patent rights.
